Maseno University receives donations from the British Institute of Africa Book drive
 A team from the British Institute of Africa led by Dr. Kennedy Gitu visited Maseno University on 2nd June 2022. Received by Prof. Rose Ongati who is the Maseno University’s director of linkages and collaborations, the team had a warm reception at the Vice-Chancellors boardroom office. 
 
On her speech, Prof. Ongati noted that a major challenge for the East Africa students was lack of books and learning materials. Dr. Gitu promised to help by donating more books for the Maseno University library.
The teamed affirmed that they’re looking forward to strengthening the bonds between the Institute and Maseno University. Dr. Fred Nasubo who is a research fellow at the Institute promised to help Maseno University graduates secure internship opportunities with the British Institute of Africa. This is a plan that is underway and once implemented, it will help our graduates secure internships which may lead to employment.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Charles Olang’o who is the Head of Department-Sociology & Anthropology, Maseno University and Dr. Owen MCOnyango, the Director of Public Relations-Maseno University.
