Dr. Charles Nyambuga

Maseno University Senior Lecturer Dr. Charles Nyambuga has co-authored a book titled: “An Introduction to Communication.” The co-authors are Rahab Nyaga and Dorothy Njoroge.

The book provides a broad overview of the discipline of communication which forms a firm foundation for undergraduate and post graduate students pursuing communication for the first time.  The book published by Oxford University Press is written in a simple and concise language, with numerous local examples and illustrations. Charles Nyambuga (PhD) is the Chairman of Communication and Media Technology Department in the School of Arts and Social Sciences. He has worked and taught in the communication discipline for more than 20 years. Previously, he worked as the Head of Outreach at the African Centre for Technology Studies and taught communication in different universities in the USA and Kenya.

Rahab Nyaga (PhD) is currently the head of the Department of Communication at Daystar University. She has taught and consulted in communication for more than 15 years. She has also presented papers on communication at international forums.
Dorothy Njoroge (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Journalism at the United States International University (Africa) and has taught corporate communication, advertising and mass media courses locally and internationally. She has also consulted in the area of communication strategic planning and is a curriculum reviewer for the Commission for University Education (CUE).
