2nd Health Professions Education Conference in Maseno University

Maseno University, School of Medicine, Kenya in partnership with Center for Global Health Education, Robert J. Havey Institute for Global Health, Northwestern University, USA, holds its 2nd Health Professions Education Conference Wednesday 3rd April – Friday 5th April 2024 in Kisumu Hotel, Kisumu City, Kenya.

The conference brings together educators of medicine and other health disciplines around the theme: 
      "Adapting to Evolving Trends in Health Professions Education".

The conference have the following skill-building faculty development sessions: pre-conference workshops, keynote address, mentorship and feedback, teaching tools, assessment tools, and medical education research.

The conference provides a forum for sharing ideas of improving teaching, assessment, teacher-student relationship and health education research and also provide a variety of opportunities for networking and collaboration.

Some of the presenters for Day1 were: Prof. Simeon Kang'ethe from Moi University presented on Framework for reviewing a medical curriculum, Prof. Ash Doobay-Persaud from Northwestern University presented on Research in Health Professions Education,  Dr. David Kaniaru from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, presented on Blended Learning in Health Education Curriculums, Dr. Rosebenter Awuor from Maseno University, presented on Insights and challenges in curriculum review, implementation and Evaluaon in the school of Nursing and Medicine in Maseno University and the moderator for the day was Dr. Stephen Gwer, from School of Medicine, Maseno University.
