The School of Law Inaugural Public Lecture by Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba on Practicing Law in a changing Global Environment


In a rapidly globalizing world, the practice of the law is changing. This global transformation has created new opportunities and challenges for advocates and legal practitioners. Maseno University School of Law is at the forefront of embracing the changing global environment by providing technology-empowered legal education and training to enable advocates to embrace and exploit the opportunities of the changing global environment. This inaugural public lecture was given by Prof. Patrick Otieno Loch Lumumba to explore the intricacies of legal practice in a changing global world.

Prof. Lumumba is a legal scholar and practitioner who has engaged in legal education, legal research, and legal practice and served in critical institutions of government and society. He is a public intellectual taking head-on the political, socio-economic, developmental, and governance challenges bedeviling the African continent.
