Maseno University marked Mazingira Day with an impactful environmental exercise that saw the planting of 1,000 trees within the University grounds. The initiative was held in collaboration with Mahavir Construction, under the leadership of Eng. Dancun Mathenge and Eng. The event brought together students, staff, and industry partners in a unified effort to promote environmental conservation and sustainability. It served as a testament to Maseno University’s ongoing commitment to nurturing a greener and more sustainable environment for current and future generations.
Student organizations including the UNESCO Club, Maseno University Environmental Students Association (MUESA), and the Maseno University Environmental Society (MUES) actively participated in the exercise. Their involvement highlighted the crucial role of youth engagement in environmental preservation and the University’s dedication to developing environmentally conscious graduates.
