Maseno University, Trnava University Strengthen ECDE Collaboration under Erasmus+ Programme

Maseno University is hosting a delegation from Trnava University, Slovakia, under the Erasmus+ Mobility Programme, marking a significant step in strengthening international academic collaboration in the area of Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE).

The visiting scholars, Prof. Pupal and Dr. Lucas Voski, were hosted by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Partnerships, Research and Innovation (DVC-PRI), Prof. Regina Nyunja, during a courtesy call at her office. During the engagement, Prof. Nyunja reaffirmed Maseno University’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships that enhance research, training and academic exchange.
 

The delegation expressed strong interest in deepening collaboration between Trnava University and Maseno University through expanded staff and student exchange programmes, as well as joint research initiatives within the ECDE programme.

Following the courtesy call, the visiting team held a consultative meeting with the entire project team at the University Boardroom. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Maureen Olel, Dean of the School of Education, Maseno University. Key discussions focused on academic collaboration, research opportunities, and a proposed joint project to establish a kindergarten and day-care centre within Maseno University premises. The facility is envisioned as a model learning, training, and research hub for ECDE students, while also supporting staff and student parents.
