About the Project: This study seeks to undertake an assessment of the media status in Kenya using
UNESCO’s pre-set guidelines and categorization. The project entails an assessment that utilizes
appropriate research tools of the Kenyan media scene ranging from training, regulatory framework media
pluralism and media infrastructure which can support independent media development in the country.
